AAAAA-LETTSSS-GOOO TO AREZZOOOO
spent the weekend in arezzo in their monthly antique market and their annual jousting tournament! overall, a fabulous weekend, gets 5 stars from me
the whole weekend was like a renaissance fair, with everyone in costumes, and every year, the local regions in arezzo compete in a jousting tournament, and everyone wears scarves and hats and wave flags that have your regions colors on them. it was all very harry potter-esque. i was rooting for the magenta and gold team, but only because their scarf was the prettiest :)

helloooo horsey
you would have loved it vickie, horses everywhere. and they were very well behaved

a parade of little drummer boys and trumpeteers

the cute little italian man who sold me my antique postcards
he was so sweet! :)

they had some really neat old stuff, anything you could ever imagine!

and they had so many old wonderful books!
i was very tempted to buy one, but they're all in italian.

um yes. i did buy a big floppy hat. i just couldn't resist

james wearing my sweet new vintage shades

the next day, we went to the jousting tournament!
this was before the crowd arrived and we still had room to take a picture

we were standing next to a very rambunctious crowd of rose/verde fans
who later, were not so fun when they pushed us around
photocred to james, due to the 8 inch height difference between us, he was able to get some good shots, whereas i was only able to see everyone else's hair

one of the balloons flew our way!
melynn and me and our new red balloon
later, i was bouncing it around and it flew away :(

they had a really awesome flag performance from the traveling flag people of arezzo
yes that is their official name....just kidding.

we shall meet again another day, arezzo.
