VILLA D'ESTES
the summer home of a rich man who tried multiple times to be pope, but did not succeed, so he built himself an amazing estate to heal the pain of rejection of not being pope.
the house was nice, the gardens were better
when we got there, there was a forest fire at a nearby hillthere were airplanes and helicopters dropping water off

ooh, i love the effect from the sun on the leaving the villa picture! and you're right, you need a thesauraus for italy because you can't keep calling everything beautiful!
