i want MOOOREEE MOROCCOOOO
i haven't had a pun in here in awhile, i'm a little rusty :(
ANYWAYS
we took a ferry ride from tangiers, spain to tarifa, morocco

rock the casbah!
we got a tour of the casbah when we first got there

they tried to sell us rugs

our hotel was right on the beach
the views were spectacular

on the roof of our hotel

the pool? the ocean? both??

ahhh the sunset

every taxi cab ride is 5 euro!

yes. we did ride on camels!
but here's a secret: it was only for 5 minutes
around a parking lot :(

clearly, camels are kasey's favorite animal
i have at least 7 pictures of her in mid scream

a brief moment of relief

melynn is a natural on that camel

baby camels!! yayayaya

and now for some beach pictures!!!

erik and james just lying there like beached whales
and david and sharkey are making a sand castle in the back haha

hahahaha we made the boys do one, too
actually, all the jumping pictures i have are pretty hilarious

awww <3

all of our beachy selves :)

ahhhh Paaariiissss (pronounced par-eeee)
we got lucky and missed most of the strikes going on, thank goodness our flight didn't get canceled or anything
yep we did all the paris cliche things to do

and in case anyone's going to paris, the thing about paris is you have to see everything at least twice, once during the day and once at night, because the buildings and neighborhoods and streets wear totally differnet clothes at night

saw the arc de triumph

walked down the champs elysses

stopped inside the toyota store
this one isn't cliche, but it's such a fun spherical chair

took the subway everywhere

a normal happy picture of enoch
on top of the arc de triumph

a view of the street from up above
look at all the tiny people!

after a crazy downpour of rain
the centre pompidou by renzo piano

inside one of the tunnels

a day of museums!

of course the louvre

the wonderful musee d'orsay
my favorite by far, i love impressionists art
promptly after i took this picture, a museum guy got mad at me :(
but look how beautiful that clock is!

the musee de l'orangerie
which housed all of monet's water lillies :)

after this day, i couldn't take it, my mind had exploded with art

the sacre couer (sacred heart)

hello notre dame

and inside,
all the pretty candles :)

we had one lunch on the lawn in front of the eiffel tower
james' reaction to when a 10 year old french girl stole his coke

and then luxembourg garden pictures :)

hahahaha this midjump picture is funny
sharkey with his limbs flailing

kids and their boats at the fountain!
it's like stuart little!

gah! it's so adorable, kids chasing the boats around with their giant sticks

am i forgetting something....?
oh yeah!

i don't know if you can see
but it glitters every night on the hour:)

this one's my favorite :)

CINQUE TERRE
which means 5 lands (more like towns)
it was so good; it was kind of rainy and gloomy the whole time and we still thought it was so beautiful.

when we first got to moterosso it was already dark, but when we heard the ocean when we got off the train, we immediately went to it.

we spent a surprising amount of time throwing rocks into the ocean
we couldn't wait until we could actually see how beautiful it was

we stayed in monterosso (the beach city) and started the hike from there the next morning (after a DELICIOUS fococcia bread sandwich. seriously, best bread ever)
the hike was along the mountainside, so the path was kind of narrow

DANGER
nah, it wasn't too dangerous, we're young, we can take it

this tree, literally growing horizontal from the mountainside

the boys
we found a cool bridge and stream and refilled our water bottles

a lot of this going on, another beautiful thing, blah blah blah

oh- what's that we see?? the next city peaking out??

there it is, vernazza :)

all the boats!

we stopped for lunch and it started to rain :( so we decided to take the train to the next city, corniglia
in corniglia we only did one thing: visit a place called enoteca il pirun. it was awesome.

the owner served us wine in these glasses, called piruns
you try to move it as far from your face and as high without disturbing the stream of wine
they gave amateurs bibs, which were definitely used

everyone gets a turn!

and then we fed each other
really, the only way to drink any beverage

next: manarola!

all the colorful buildings stacked on each other
I LOVE THE COLORS!

a giant wheel in the middle of the town
something about their town being powered by water wheels.. i'm not exactly sure

then we climbed these rocks down to the water

found a nice little cozy spot

careful boys.. one false step...

james conquering something

i love climbing rocks, so we all climbed another rock we saw :)
photoshop carolina in on the right side
